Welcome to our Website

We are located in the mountains of Western North Carolina in the town of Old Fort. We offer a clean bathhouse, playground, river to lay down and cool off in, store and mountain crafts. We offer manicures, pedicures and facials onsite.  RV Full Hookups, tent camping and rental cabins with free Internet Access in the main campground area. 

We have been serving the public since 1982 under the same family. We are close to all major attractions in Western North Carolina. Make us your home base and tour the mountains. McDowell County offers a host of attractions such as; Little Switzerland, Linville Caverns, Lake James Park, Mountain Gateway Museum, Davidson's Fort and Mountain Mitchell State Park the highest peak east of the Mississippi. We are only a short distance to Grandfather Mountain, Biltmore House, Chimney Rock and Cherokee Indian Reservations, white water rafting and local ski resorts.  

Stay a day; week or month, you will have a peaceful and enjoyable stay with us. We are not a resort, just a family style campground that offers you a friendly and inexpensive place to stay while you visit our lovely mountains. This quiet and family oriented campground has been a family run campground with the sole purpose of providing you a safe and inexpensive vacation in a quiet and relaxing mountain setting.

RVer Camping Etiquette to Follow

Be a Good Neighbor: If any of the other RVers in the campground needs help, extend the best of your skills.

Don’t walk thru someone’s campsite.

Be a Good Samaritan: Be alert of your surroundings and protect the campground at all times.

Departure: Leave the campground as you were given.

Pets: Leash them when in a campground.

Privacy: Respect your neighbor’s camp space, that includes lights on your RV, don’t have them shining on your neighbor.

Waste: When using dumping stations, clean it after use. Don’t dump while your neighbors are eating.

Burning rules: Do not burn Plastic and likewise things that can create a noxious or choking odor.

Noise and Light: When at night, minimize your singing, talking, music and other loudness levels. When moving around at night, use dim lights at night.
